Doha: Qatar's handball team began its Rio 2016 campaign with a big victory over Croatia 30-23.
Qatar was in complete control of the game from start to finish, despite the Croatian goalkeeper's big display.
Markovic was the top scorer for Qatar with 10 goals, followed by Rafael with six.
Qatar is part of Group A along with Tunisia, France, Denmark, Croatia and Argentina.
They are coached by world-class manager Valero Rivera from Spain.
