A NEW public garden covering 2,233sqm will be set up at residential bloc 743 in Sanad.
The Tender Board awarded the project to the winning bidder under a contract worth BD164,050, said Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning Ministry Under-Secretary Shaikh Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Khalifa.
The ministry has allocated 336sqm area to set up modern games. The area will be equipped with rubber floors, a canopy and solar-powered lighting.
A section covering 613sqm will feature green spaces, shade trees, a playground covering 263.98sqm and family-only shaded spaces.
