The Ministry of Health announced that two members of the emergency medical teams were injured after shrapnel fell on an ambulance centre, confirming that both are in stable condition.
The Ministry's official spokesperson, Dr Abdullah Al-Sanad said in a statement that the injuries occurred while the two staff members were at their workplace in one of the ambulance centres, as a result of falling shrapnel at the site.
He added that the relevant authorities have been notified to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident and to take the necessary measures.
Al-Sanad explained that emergency teams responded immediately to the incident, providing first aid to the injured at the scene before transferring them to a nearby hospital for further evaluation and necessary medical care, and noted that their condition is stable.
He affirmed that the Ministry of Health is closely monitoring the incident in full coordination with the concerned authorities as part of an integrated national system, ensuring the safety of healthcare personnel and the continued delivery of medical services with high efficiency, without any impact on the readiness of health
facilities.
Al-Sanad concluded by wishing the injured a speedy recovery, reiterating that their condition is stable.
