While doing so, the Cabinet yesterday highlighted the importance of providing suitable housing and efficient services for Bahraini citizens.
His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, chaired the weekly meeting at Gudaibiya Palace.
The Cabinet said the objective of the new scheme is in line with the comprehensive development goals set by His Majesty King Hamad and the directives of HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister to develop innovative housing solutions in collaboration with the private sector.
The ‘Tas’heel’ scheme will feature three financing options – ‘Tas’heel Aqari’, ‘Tas’heel Al Bait Al Oud’ and ‘Tas’heel Ta’awon’.
The Cabinet also announced the launch of a new category of the ‘Mazaya’ social housing scheme.
