Al Najma defeated Al Ahli 31-24 yesterday to claim the handball Super Cup.
Al Najma led Al Ahli 14-13 at the end of the first half of the match, played at Khalifa Sports City arena in Isa Town.
Winners’ captain Mohammed Mirza received the coveted trophy from General Sports Authority (GSA) chief executive Dr Abdulrahman Askar and Asian Handball Federation treasurer Bader Mohammed Al Theyab.
Bahrain Handball Association (BHA) president Ali Isa, UAE Handball Federation president Nabil Ashour and other sports figures also attended the event.
