BEYON has announced the appointment of Rashed Mohamed as group chief technology officer (CTO).
Mr Mohamed, a seasoned Bahraini executive with over 20 years of industry experience, has served as Batelco’s CTO since 2024, where he led the evolution of its network and IT platforms.
With this appointment, Bahraini nationals now make up 90 per cent of the executive management team at Beyon Group.
Beyon Group chief executive officer Andrew Kvaalseth said the appointment reflects the board’s commitment to investing in national talent while driving the group’s digital growth.
“His extensive experience and deep understanding of our business and markets will help accelerate Beyon’s use of AI and emerging technologies to empower our teams, strengthen technological capabilities, digital platforms, and next generation services across the group,” Mr Kvaalseth said.
Commenting on his new role, Mr Mohamed said he looks forward to driving innovation and next-generation digital solutions across the group’s regional markets in an era increasingly shaped by AI and digital transformation.
