The Muharraq Nights Festival will resume on Thursday and run until Saturday following its success last weekend.
The festival featuring art, music and cuisine staged at important cultural and historical places around the area is being organised by the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (Baca) as part of the Pearling Path project.
Exhibition spaces will continue to host several works of art in the Pearling Path Visitor Centre, Fakhro House, Bin Matar House, Shaikh Ebrahim Centre and Busaad Art Gallery and other venues around the old town.
Several stores will also reopen their doors, and will feature crafts such as sword making and gold and jewellery designs, as well as traditional Bahraini helwa, woodwork, antiques and embroidery.
The event will also continue to promote Bahraini and contemporary cuisine, with The Dana Market providing plenty of options accompanied by folk art and contemporary music.
Traditional music lovers can continue to enjoy music evenings at Bu Maher Fort and Mohammed Bin Faris House.
Screenings of films by Bahraini directors will also be held in co-operation with the Bahrain Cinema Club at the visitors centres, while documentary screenings featuring Bahrain’s tangible and intangible history will be held at Al Qaysariya Suq.
Other activities include kayaking, cycling, an activity corner for smaller children, and screenings of family movies at the Bu Maher Fort.
Trips around the Pearling Path including a photography tour and food tour will also be held.
