WEST End hit family musical The Tiger Who Came To Tea will be staged at the Cultural Hall in Manama.
The Olivier Award-nominated production has been brought to Bahrain by Entertainment Live and will be showing at 4.30pm today, 11.30am and 4.30pm on Saturday and at 10.45pm on Sunday.
The musical is an adaptation by UK-based actor and writer David Wood, of British writer and illustrator Judith Kerr’s short children’s book The Tiger Who Came To Tea.
The book, first published in 1968, concerns a girl called Sophie, her mother and the eponymous tiger who interrupts their afternoon tea.
Kerr first invented the story after visiting a zoo with her three-year-old daughter and told it many times before making it into the book, which took a year to write and illustrate.
The Tiger Who Came To Tea is one of the best-selling children’s books of all time and remains popular more than 40 years after it was first published.
