Twelve university students took part in the second edition of the EconoQuesters Programme, an initiative organised by INJAZ Bahrain in collaboration with the Bahrain Economic Development Board (EDB).
The four-week challenge brought together third and fourth-year university alumni, who were divided into three teams to assess Bahrain’s competitiveness across key priority sectors and develop actionable economic recommendations.
Supported by mentors from the EDB and external industry experts, the participants received hands-on guidance to refine their research. They also completed specialised ‘Presenting With Impact’ workshops to enhance their communication and public speaking skills ahead of the final pitch session.
The programme culminated in final presentations before a panel of judges, where the winning team was officially announced.
“It has been inspiring to see our alumni take on this challenge with such commitment and curiosity,” said INJAZ Bahrain chairperson Shaikha Hessa bint Khalifa Al Khalifa. “Programmes like this give young people the opportunity to put their knowledge into practice, explore real issues, and develop their own ideas. We are grateful to the EDB and all the mentors who supported the students throughout the journey.”
Sustainable Development Minister and EDB chief executive officer Noor bint Ali Al Khulaif highlighted the importance of nurturing local talent.
“Investing in Bahrain’s young talent is a key pillar of the kingdom’s long-term development,” Ms Al Khulaif said. “Through our ongoing partnership with INJAZ Bahrain, we are helping equip the next generation with the skills, confidence, and perspective needed to contribute to Bahrain’s continued progress.”
The initiative underscores INJAZ Bahrain’s broader mission to bridge the gap between academic learning and practical career skills, offering youth direct exposure to the kingdom’s strategic economic priorities.
