Health Minister Dr Jalila Al Sayyed yesterday received the chairman and members of the Bahrain Haj Medical Committee.
The meeting was attended by Primary Healthcare Centres chief executive Dr Lulwa Showeiter and assistant under-secretary for public health Dr Ejlal Al Alawi.
The minister stressed commitment to provide the best of services to Bahrain pilgrims, in line with the directives of His Majesty King Hamad.
She commended the efforts made by Saudi Arabia to provide all facilities and services to pilgrims to perform their Haj.
Dr Al Sayyed was briefed about the ministry’s preparations to provide all support to the Bahrain Haj Medical Committee, urging the delegation to care for all pilgrims and commit to preventive requirements.
Assistant under-secretary for ports, search and follow-up Brigadier Abdulaziz Al Dussairi separately inspected the King Fahad Causeway to oversee its readiness to accommodate the increase in travel movement during the Haj season and Eid Al Adha.
He also inspected the first phase of the expansion of the causeway, which included the launch of five cabins for exits.
