THE Parliament Bureau has expressed its appreciation for the generous directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to speed up the disbursement of doubled allowances for people with severe disabilities.
This reflects his keen interest in this important segment of society, it said yesterday.
The bureau also called on the Social Development Ministry to clarify the criteria that were adopted in classifying the groups of eligible beneficiaries while not including others within severe disability cases.
The bureau also urged the ministry and the Disability Evaluation Committee to review the criteria and to form a committee of doctors and specialists to study them correctly.
