A PROPOSAL to stage an art exhibition in America was on the agenda as the National Council for Arts met yesterday.
The exhibition to be held in Washington is being planned in co-operation with the Bahrain Embassy to the US and the Washington-based Middle East Institute.
The regular meeting, under the chairmanship of Shaikh Rashid bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, also discussed other proposals on launching the identity of the National Council for Arts, establishing a website and holding an artistic programme.
Shaikh Rashid commended the constant support accorded by His Majesty King Hamad and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to the council. He also stressed the council’s keenness to devote its efforts to supporting Bahraini artists.
