A PRINCIPAL and a number of administrators at a government school have been referred to an internal investigation over the alleged negligence to students’ safety, including those suffering from disabilities, when leaving at the end of the day.
The Education Ministry revealed on social media the move was taken following evidence gathered by the relevant directorate, in co-ordination with the risk assessment and legal affairs directorate.
“The female principal and her companion school administrators failed to ensure that students, including those with mental challenges, left for home safely at the end of the day,” said the ministry. “For that, they have been referred to an internal investigation.”
Meanwhile, two individuals who have applied for jobs with allegedly ‘false’ certificates at private educational institutions have been referred to the Public Prosecution.
The ministry revealed that following thorough checks over the sources and credentials, they were found to be untrue.
“The two signed a declaration that all information was correct, while, in fact, the certificates were bogus and for that they have been referred to the Public Prosecution,” said the ministry.
