In the elegant setting of the Bahrain Jewellery Centre (BJC) Pavilion during Jewellery Arabia 2023, HUBLOT, a pioneering force in Swiss watchmaking, has been mesmerising visitors with its blend of innovation and opulence, writes Jayne Houghton.
Engaging in an exclusive conversation with David Tedeschi, the brand’s regional director overseeing Latin America, the Caribbean, Middle East, and Africa, GDN Media delved into HUBLOT’s deep resonance within the Middle Eastern market.
“At HUBLOT, our essence lies in our relentless pursuit of uniqueness, what we term as ‘the art of fusion’. Scratch-proof gold had never existed before, so HUBLOT invented it,” said Mr Tedeschi.
He underscored the brand’s commitment to innovation, highlighting Magic Gold as its patented 18K gold alloy, the first globally to resist scratches, maintaining its allure despite an active lifestyle – a groundbreaking innovation in the realm of precious materials.
Emphasising the Classic Fusion collection as the epitome of HUBLOT’s offerings, Mr Tedeschi described it as a manifestation of versatility and core identity.
“It’s a re-imagination of timeless elegance, offering an unparalleled array in designs, movements, materials, and hues,” he added.
Remaining true to its legacy, HUBLOT continues to lead in innovation and disruption, unveiling its 2023 novelties.
The latest releases come adorned with bespoke diamonds and exquisite high jewellery elements. Notably, the collection includes 12 captivating Classic Fusion Takashi Murakami timepieces, featuring vibrant monochromatic dials. Among the highlights is the MP-13 Tourbillon Retrograde Bi-Axial Titanium, representing the pinnacle of this assortment.
Reflecting on the enduring partnership with Bahrain Jewellery Centre since 1980, Tedeschi emphasised the brand’s resonance within the region.
“In Bahrain, our Classic Fusion collection reigns supreme, deeply resonating with the refined tastes prevalent here,” he noted.
Intriguingly, Mr Tedeschi highlighted the significant female clientele in the Middle East.
“Women are a formidable presence in HUBLOT’s clientele here, owing to our targeted marketing and a diverse product range tailored specifically to their preferences,” he explained.
Amidst the glamour, Mr Tedeschi expanded on the challenges the watchmaker faces. “The demand for such intricate craftsmanship is burgeoning, posing challenges in stone sourcing,” he acknowledged. “Yet, it stands as a testament to HUBLOT’s legacy in crafting masterpieces that we continue to do so.”
Mr Tedeschi underscored the enduring partnership with BJC as a symbol of their unwavering commitment to excellence. “BJC has been our steadfast ally from the inception, embodying our ethos of nurturing relationships and upholding exemplary standards,” he said.
HUBLOT’s presence at Jewellery Arabia 2023 is not just about luxury – it signifies the harmonious blend of tradition and contemporary craftsmanship, encapsulating the brand’s essence, admirers say.
