I WOULD like to invite the attention of the engineers’ society for advice on the serious issue of mould (fungus) in flats of many buildings in Juffair.
Mould is a serious problem for breathing and it is also a serious health hazard. Many landlords do not take it seriously at the time of construction of the building. Moisture is the main reason for the growth of mould in flats. HVAC system is another reason; almost 95 per cent of the new buildings in Juffair have centralised AC system, where the builder/owner doesn’t care for proper ventilation. Improper ventilation in the bathrooms and kitchen can lead to mould growth in the flats.
I would request an expert in engineers’ society to write in the GDN so that many ignorant builders or landlords can understand the problem.
