MMA – Brazilian superstar Lucas ‘Mineiro’ Martins is ready to get back to action following a disappointing end to 2023. The former Lightweight champion has called out fellow 155-pound KO artist Maciej ‘Magic Man’ Gierszewski on social media for a fight in 2024.
Following a social media post by BRAVE CF highlighting Gierszewski’s punching power, Martins left a simple message to the Polish sensation: ‘Let’s dance’.
The call-out was immediately answered by Gierszewski who is eager to get back to action following a fight-free 2023. After nursing himself back to health with an injury, Gierszewski is now ready to return to action.
Martins was last seen in the main event of BRAVE CF 77, when he lost via TKO to lightweight champion Abdisalam Kubanychbek. The fight was originally for Kubanychbek’s belt, however, as Martins didn’t make weight, it became a non-title affair.
As he dusts off the disappointment of his last outing, ‘Mineiro’, one of the first BRAVE CF legends, has renewed his campaign to face Magic Man, in a bout he has previously described as an ‘MMA striking fan’s dream’, with two of the biggest power punchers in the lightweight division squaring off.
Both Martins and Gierszewski have produced some of the most violent knockouts in BRAVE CF history, with Gierszewski responsible for flatlining Cian Cowley at BRAVE CF 24, while Martins beat Henrique Marques and Ylies Djiroun with huge right-hand KO’s before his last fight.
