MORE than 120 Bahraini female leaders are set to benefit from the second edition of the Ladies Who Lead programme, running until the middle of March.
The programme, supported by the US Embassy and run by Etijah Coaching and Consulting Services, kicked off last week and will be hosted over five weeks at the American University of Bahrain.
It will include nine workshops, speaker sessions and networking events as well as one-on-one career coaching. The programme is designed to support the integration and retention of women in the workforce by shedding light on common challenges faced by them in the professional world, providing tools on how they can take charge of their professional career and fostering inclusive economic growth that reaches marginalised communities.
In addition to a programme orientation by Etijah managing director Dina Shabib, the recent opening event also featured a talk by Shamsaha founder and chief executive Mary-Justine Todd, who shared her journey as a humanitarian and advocate for women, which led her to start the first and only domestic violence crisis response programme in the Middle East.
