HIS Majesty King Hamad has called for a just and comprehensive peace in the Middle East.
He affirmed the need for finding diplomatic solutions to resolve disputes and conflicts and the utmost importance of remedying the tragic situation in Gaza as he held separate talks with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi and King Abdullah of Jordan during his visit to the two nations yesterday.
The King urged the United Nations Security Council to take decisive measures to address regional conflicts, which include implementing resolutions on a ceasefire in Gaza and the delivery of humanitarian aid, as he held talks with President Al Sisi at Al Ittihadiya Palace in Cairo.

They emphasised their rejection of any actions that lead to escalating war, ground attacks on Rafah, or the displacement of Palestinians from their land.
The leaders reiterated the importance of respecting the historical and legal status of Jerusalem, and to stop Israeli attacks on religious sites. They also condemned the building of Israeli settlements in the occupied Palestinian territories, which is a violation of international law.
The King underscored the importance of Jordan’s custodianship of the Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem.
