Al Hekma International School (AHIS) proudly announces its transition to becoming an authorised International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme (DP) school starting in the 2024-2025 academic year.
“This significant achievement reflects AHIS’s unwavering commitment to providing a world-class education that fosters intellectual curiosity, personal growth and global awareness,” said an AHIS spokesperson.
“The IB DP curriculum equips students with the critical thinking, research and communication skills needed to excel at top universities worldwide. By enrolling in the IB programme at AHIS, students will gain a well-rounded education that prepares them for success in the world, while earning a globally recognised qualification valued by universities everywhere.”
“We are confident that the IB DP programme will be a valuable addition to the AHIS educational experience,” stated AHIS principal Maya Harb.
AHIS secured the top score in global STEM education, proving their dedication to equipping students with real-world skills.
The school was also awarded ‘Company of the Year’ by Injaz for its groundbreaking, sustainable project Jawk, showcasing their focus on fostering both academic excellence and practical skills for the 21st century.
Individual student achievements were also registered.
Alhanouf Ali Hassan grabbed 5th place in the Arab Reading Challenge and AHIS was the first of the private schools to win this achievement, surpassing 142,000 participants.
This reflected AHIS’s strong reading culture and emphasis on Arabic language.
The winning streak continued with AHIS students and teachers dominating the ‘Kam Kelima’ Arabic writing competition across eight Arab nations.
“These achievements showcase AHIS’s supportive environment that empowers students to flourish,” said school board of directors chairman Mohanned AlAnni.
“AHIS goes beyond classrooms, nurturing well-rounded individuals for the ever-changing world,” he added.
