A Bahraini delegation, headed by Ambassador to Oman Dr Juma Al Kaabi, participated in the preparatory meeting for the ministerial meeting of the 19th Asian Co-operation Dialogue (ACD), scheduled to be held today in Tehran.
ACD secretary-general Dr Pornchai Dhanvivathana and representatives of member states are set to attend.
The ambassador stressed the support of Bahrain for the work of the ACD, as an active member and partner in its establishment, and the pivotal role played by regional mechanisms in achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and promoting joint integration.
He also stressed the need to exploit opportunities to advance towards developing Asian co-operation to reach tangible results.
