His Majesty King Hamad yesterday issued Royal Decree (77) of 2024, amending some provisions of Royal Decree (78) of 2021, regarding the restructuring of the executive body of the Supreme Council for Environment (SCE), based on a proposal by the Deputy Prime Minister and following approval of the Cabinet.
Article I A new clause, numbered (12), shall be added to Article I of Royal Decree (78) of 2021, regarding the restructuring of the executive body of the SCE, which reads as follows: 12 - Director General of Wildlife Protection.
Article II The SCE president shall implement this decree, which shall come into effect from the date of its issuance and be published in the Official Gazette. His Majesty also issued Decree (78) of 2024, appointing a director general for wildlife protection at the SCE Executive Body, based on a proposal by Deputy Prime Minister, and following the approval of the Cabinet.
Article I Dr Khalid Ahmed Mohammed Hassan shall be appointed as director general of Wildlife Protection at the SCE’s Executive Body, with the rank of undersecretary. Article II The SCE president shall implement this decree, and it shall come into effect from the date of its issuance, and be published in the Official Gazette.
