More than 30 travellers from Bahrain were caught up in a lost luggage nightmare after arriving in Poland in almost freezing temperatures.
It took Turkish Airlines three days to return the suitcases to Krakow following the flight from the kingdom via Istanbul.
“The temperature here is a chilly 3C, and all of our winter clothing is in our missing luggage,” said one distraught passenger who asked not to be named.
“This situation has caused significant discomfort and inconvenience for my family.”
Another passenger spoke to the GDN and revealed that two groups from Bahrain had their luggage misplaced by the airline – a group of women, aged 50 and above, as well as a tour group.
Despite constant follow-ups, the airline was only able to locate and return the bags on Sunday evening.
In the meantime, the travellers were forced to purchase warm clothing and supplies, including medicine and other essentials, until their luggage finally arrived.
Turkish Airlines has not replied to GDN’s request for a comment.
