- Free entry for spectators
In a significant move to enhance engagement for the IWF World Championships, Bahrain Weightlifting Federation (BWF) president Eshaq Ebrahim Eshaq announced yesterday that entry to the event will be free for spectators.
This initiative aims to encourage widespread participation from fans and create a vibrant atmosphere at the competition venue.
Eshaq emphasised the importance of accessibility for supporters. He commented: “We have directed the free entry to all fans wishing to attend the events of the world championships, watch the competitions, and enjoy the atmosphere of the accompanying events at the site.”
To facilitate a smooth experience for attendees, the BWF will implement an organised system for ticket distribution. The details regarding this mechanism will be communicated to the public in due course, ensuring that all fans can easily access the championships.
This step does not only underscore the federation’s commitment to promoting weightlifting in Bahrain but also aims to foster a spirit of community and support for athletes competing at this prestigious international event.
