TENNIS – Bahrain Tennis Academy (BTA) held its 22nd Annual Junior Awards Ceremony for six-and-under players at Dilmun Club in Saar.
The gathering was held to honour the most outstanding players of the 2025-26 season, with awards being presented in 12 categories.
Some of the categories included best racket control, biggest trier, and coach’s helper.
Academy coaches short-listed five players for each award and then selected a winner after taking into account each player’s skill level and experience.
Winners of the prestigious Player of the Year awards were Fares Jedidi in the four-and-under age division and Ethan Engels in the six-and-under.
Other category winners were Ali Almutawa, Dima Ahmadi, Emile de Vries, Karmen Krayem, Rayana Hameed, Sebastian Banerjee, Talal Merza, and Yusuf Merza.
The awards were presented by BTA Director Dan Barrie. “At this age, we focus on fun and engagement to develop a love of the game,” said Barrie.
“It was a pleasure to see how many little stars have participated and excelled in training sessions this season.”
