Manama: Bahrain welcomed the successful mediation efforts of Oman, which led to the release of the crew members of the "Galaxy Leader" ship after being detained off the coast of Yemen for over a year. The 25 crew members include individuals of various nationalities.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs commended Oman’s role in addressing this humanitarian situation and its dedication to fostering regional security and peace.
It expressed its hope that this positive outcome will bolster international cooperation and partnerships aimed at promoting regional peace and stability, de-escalation, and the protection of maritime and commercial navigation in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden, in line with international law and relevant agreements and resolutions.
