His Majesty King Hamad’s representative for humanitarian work and youth affairs and Royal Humanitarian Foundation (RHF) board of trustees chairman Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa patronised the 13th mass wedding organised by the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation in collaboration with RHF yesterday.
The ceremony was held at the Shaikh Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Al Khalifa Auditorium at the Bahrain University campus in Sakhir.
A total of 2,020 brides and grooms tied the knot during the mass wedding, making it the largest ever in Bahrain.
Shaikh Nasser expressed profound gratitude to His Majesty, the RHF Honorary President, and UAE President Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan for their continuous support for Bahraini youth. He praised solid and long-standing relations between both countries, which set a model to emulate in integration, unity and co-operation.
Shaikh Nasser commended the UAE’s achievements and contributions to the social field in Bahrain through the implementation of youth-oriented projects. He congratulated the newlywed couples, wishing them a happy and stable family life.
