AMERICA’S central bank is a privately owned, for-profit, unaudited company!
Now that I have your attention, I see that President Trump is exposing the Federal Reserve System, America’s central bank, for what it is, a system that does not respond to anyone except itself, i e, created by the Federal Reserve Act of 1913.
I refer to the articles in the GDN, “Trump warns of slowdown unless Fed cuts rates” (Tuesday, 22nd April) and “Trump slams Fed’s Powell over rates,” (GDN, 18th April 2025) .
