A 26-year-old man has been arrested after he celebrated his birthday by igniting flames in the shape of the number '26' on a public road.
Dubai police summoned the man after he posted photos of the fiery display on social media.
Police described the act as "serious and unacceptable" and stressed that “setting fire on a public road not only exposes the individual and others to the risk of a blaze, but also disrupts traffic, confuses road users, and causes damage to infrastructure and the surrounding environment.”
The violation carries a penalty of AED2,000 (BD200), 23 traffic points, and a 60-day vehicle impoundment.
