His Majesty King Hamad yesterday received Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and Expatriate Affairs Ayman Safadi at Safriya Palace, on the occasion of his visit to Bahrain.
The King expressed pride in the long-standing ties and deep-rooted historical relations between Bahrain and Jordan, noting their continued development driven by mutual commitment to enhance co-operation in means that serve common interests.
Mr Safadi conveyed the greetings and gratitude of King Abdullah, and wished for Bahrain’s continued progress and prosperity.
His Majesty extended greetings and sincere wishes to King Abdullah and to the people of Jordan for continued growth and success.
He welcomed the visiting official and highlighted the importance of such visits in supporting consultation between the two countries amid ongoing regional developments.
The King also expressed appreciation for the efforts of King Abdullah in advancing Bahrain-Jordan relations and commended Jordan’s role in advancing joint Arab action and supporting peace, security, and stability in the region.
The meeting also covered regional and international developments of mutual interest, particularly the situation in the Middle East.
The Jordanian minister commended Bahrain’s principled Arab positions under the leadership of the King and the level of co-ordination between Bahrain and Jordan across various domains.
