A specialist working at a licensed private rehabilitation centre for persons with disabilities has been referred to the Public Prosecution for violations.
Officials did not specify the nature of the violations, but confirmed that the actions observed during a routine inspection were in breach of regulations and warranted legal action.
The Social Development Ministry said in statement today: "The referral comes as part of the ministry’s monitoring role and its ongoing efforts to ensure the safety and well-being of individuals with disabilities.”
The case is now with the Public Prosecution, and further details may be released following the investigation, added the statement.
