RELATIONS between Bahrain and the United States are underpinned by a strong partnership, His Majesty King Hamad has said.
The King expressed Bahrain’s pride in the long-standing and distinguished relations when he received US Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem at Sakhir Palace yesterday.
His Majesty and the US Secretary of Homeland Security discussed the close bilateral relations and efforts to continue advancing them to serve shared goals and aspirations.
The King noted the progress of bilateral co-operation in various sectors, including security.
Furthermore, the King commended the efforts of the United States in promoting regional security and stability as well as advancing global peace.
The meeting included discussions on regional and international developments, and matters of mutual interest.
Secretary Noem expressed her appreciation to the King for the generous hospitality, and commended His Majesty’s role in strengthening Bahraini-American relations and advancing co-operation.
She also commended Bahrain’s position in supporting regional peace and security efforts.
