On the occasion of Eid Al Adha, His Majesty King Hamad has issued a royal decree pardoning and releasing 209 inmates convicted in various cases who had served their sentences, in addition to a number of those who were given alternative sentences.
The royal pardon comes in line with His Majesty's keenness to provide an opportunity for those included in the pardon to integrate into society and participate in the comprehensive development process under the King's leadership, which has resulted in growth, progress and prosperity for Bahrain .
