A grand ceremony to inaugurate the new premises of the Bharathi Association was recently held in Umm Al Hassam. In attendance were Indian Ambassador Vinod Jacob, who cut the ribbon, and VGP Group chairman and World Tamil Sangam founder Dr VG Samthosam, who presented mini Tiruvalluvar statues (named after Tamil poet and philosopher Valluvar) to the Indian Embassy and to the association .
