VOLLEYBALL – BAHRAIN’S senior men’s volleyball national team have risen an impressive 17 positions in less than a month on the Official International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) Men’s Volleyball World Ranking.
The kingdom’s squad, who in the last week of June won the title in the AVC Men’s Volleyball Nations Cup 2025, were 47th in the world and eighth-best in the Asian volleyball Confederation (AVC) on the latest edition of the men’s classification, updated yesterday by the FIVB.
Heading into the AVC Men’s Volleyball Nations Cup, in which the Bahrainis captured the historic title, the nationals were 65th.
Bahrain are now on 79.35 total ranking points, improving by nearly 30 ranking points after wins against Thailand, Indonesia, Chinese Taipei, South Korea, and Pakistan en route to securing their AVC crown.
Japan remained the top team in Asia and fifth in the world, followed by Iran in 14th, Qatar in 23rd, China in 24th, and South Korea in 26th. Just ahead of Bahrain are Australia in 33rd and Pakistan in 42nd.
Poland are number one worldwide, while joining them in the top 10 are France, Italy, Brazil, the Japanese, the US, Slovenia, Germany, Argentina, and Cuba.
