Prolific actor and comedian Lotfy Labib passed away today at age 77 after complications from a surgery to remove a tumour in his throat.
Labib was one of Egypt's most celebrated actors, appearing in more than 350 roles across film, television, and theatre. His performance in 2005's Embassy in the Building is widely considered his most celebrated role.
Labib's final role was in 2024's Ana W Ibn Khalti, alongside Bayoumi Fouad.
