A renewed call has been made to set up an integrated sports health centre for diabetes patients in the Southern Governorate, with councillors believing that a dedicated facility is essential to provide holistic support.Southern Municipal Council members had earlier submitted a proposal for the centre, however, the Health Ministry asserted that Bahrain’s existing primary healthcare network is well-equipped to provide extensive care to diabetics across the country .
