MOTORSPORT – BAHRAINI-BRITISH GT team 2 Seas Motorsport will be looking to secure an unprecedented title double this weekend in the ninth and final round of the 2025 British GT Championship. The meeting is set to take place today and tomorrow at Donington Park in the UK, and dubbed as ‘The Donington Decider’.
2 Seas are competing with their two crews of Charles Dawson and Kiern Jewiss in their #42 Mercedes-AMG GT3 Evo and Kevin Tse and Maximillian Goetz in their #18 contender. They are part of a 16-car field in the series’ GT3 class for the round, with another 10 competing in the GT4 category.
2 Seas are favourites to secure this season’s British GT3 Teams’ title as they head into the finale with a significant lead from their closest rivals on the season standings. 2 Seas boast 274.5 points from the previous eight rounds, while Barwell Motorsport are second on 218.5 points.
Meanwhile, Dawson and Jewiss are the leaders on the British GT3 Drivers’ championship table with 155.5 points apiece – ahead of the Blackthorn crew of Giacomo Petrobelli and Jonny Adam and the Optimum Motorsport tandem of Morgan Tillbrook and Marvin Kirchhoefer, who are tied-second on 127 points. Tse and Goetz are third on 119 points each.
Both 2 Seas crews took part in private test sessions on Thursday to be in action today for free practice at 11.40am, pre-qualifying at 2pm, and qualifying at 5.50pm. That will set the stage for tomorrow’s final two-hour race of the season, scheduled for a 3.15pm flag-off. All times are Bahrain.
