ASIAN YOUTH GAMES – ARTIFICIAL Intelligence (AI) technologies will be used for sports commentary at the third Asian Youth Games.
This pioneering move, being held for the first time in Bahrain, was revealed by the Information Ministry’s broadcasting and external transmission director and the Games’ executive committee member Ibrahim Abdullah Al Borshid.
The AI technologies will be tested for some competitions, reflecting the adoption of the latest innovations in the media sector, as the technical preparations for the mega multi-sport event have reached an unprecedented level of readiness, said Al Borshid.
Al Borshid noted that the sports venues hosting the competitions are being equipped with the latest global broadcasting technologies, ensuring a viewing experience that rivals major international championships.
Al Borshid emphasised that his team has relied on a blend of international expertise and Bahraini talents to deliver a comprehensive broadcasting experience that showcases the kingdom’s capability to host major sporting events with high efficiency.
He added: “All sporting events of the championship will be broadcast live, including the opening and closing ceremonies, from an international broadcasting centre equipped with cutting-edge technology.
“There will also be simultaneous broadcasting across multiple platforms, including satellite and digital broadcasting, among other modern media.”
