CRICKET – THE Bahrain Cricket Federation (BCF) participated in the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) Annual General Meeting held recently in Dubai.
The high-level gathering, chaired by Pakistan Cricket Board chairman Mohsin Naqvi, brought together member nations to discuss the continued development and growth of cricket across Asia.
Representing Bahrain at the meeting were Bahrain Cricket Federation (BCF) president Sami Mohammad Ali and BCF advisory board chairman Mohammad Mansoor, who engaged with key regional stakeholders.
This session followed the previous ACC meeting held in Dhaka, Bangladesh, and forms part of a broader initiative to strengthen cricket infrastructure and cooperation in the region.
During the meeting, Mansoor shared updates on Bahrain’s ongoing efforts to develop cricket within the kingdom. He highlighted the upcoming infrastructure projects aimed at enhancing the sport’s local footprint and enabling more opportunities for young talent. Mansoor also emphasised the importance of unity and regional collaboration for the greater good of cricket in Asia.
“The growth of cricket in Bahrain is not just a national ambition – it is part of a shared vision to uplift the sport across Asia,” said Mansoor. “Unity among member nations is essential to achieving this goal.”
The meeting concluded with a commitment from all members to work together in fostering the sport’s development, with plans to reconvene in the next scheduled session.
