An Emirati father, 41, and his seven-month-old son died following a car accident involving two vehicles in Sharjah.
The mother sustained serious injuries, while the driver of the other vehicle suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Sharjah Police said that the driver of the vehicle responsible for the accident lost control as he was speeding and suddenly swerved, crossing the median barrier and collided with an oncoming vehicle, causing it to overturn.
Emergency teams arrived at the scene promptly to assist the victims.
The injured passengers were rushed to hospital, but the father and his infant son succumbed to their injuries during surgery.
