HOCKEY – The Bahrain Hockey Association (BHA) has officially announced the launch of the Bahrain Hockey League 2025-26, which will be played in an exciting six-a-side format designed to deliver faster, high-intensity hockey across the kingdom.
The league will feature Bahrain’s top teams competing in a structured season overseen by the BHA’s technical and umpiring committees.
This initiative aims to promote local talent, enhance competition standards, and provide a sustainable platform for the sport’s continued growth in Bahrain.
“The six-a-side format offers a dynamic and engaging style of play, ideal for developing player skills and attracting new audiences,” said BHA president Sami Ali.
“The working committee for the tournament has put in great efforts to plan and initiate the league, providing a platform for talented players across the kingdom.”
Matches will be conducted under the Bahrain Hockey League regulations 2025, ensuring consistency and fair play throughout the season. Team and player registrations are now open through the BHA.
Players not currently affiliated with a club are encouraged to contact the BHA, which will assist in connecting them with registered teams for the upcoming season.
Registration for clubs and players can be completed online at www.hockey.bh.
