His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, has highlighted the importance of building and expanding Gulf co-operation across various fields, noting that such collaborative progress reflects the shared vision and aspirations of the GCC leaders.
HRH Prince Salman made the statement yesterday as he met the heads of the delegations participating in the 19th periodic meeting of the leaders of the Shura, Representatives, National and Ummah Councils of the GCC countries, hosted by Bahrain, at Riffa Palace.
He affirmed Bahrain’s commitment, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad, to strengthening GCC co-operation and supporting initiatives that contribute to the progress and development of member states.
He noted that Bahrain’s historic ties and shared interests with GCC countries reflect the solidarity and shared values among their peoples.
HRH the Crown Prince and Prime Minister extended best wishes to all participating delegations for success in achieving their common objectives.
He also highlighted the prominent role played by the GCC legislative branches in co-ordinating joint positions and supporting regional and international efforts across various issues and forums.
HRH Prince Salman noted that these efforts reflect the unity and cohesion of the GCC countries and embody the vision and aspirations of their leaders for a future of greater progress and prosperity.
He stressed the region’s commitment to deliberation and consensus, which drives initiatives and programmes that advance development for all.
The heads of the delegations expressed their gratitude for HRH Prince Salman’s hospitality and commitment to strengthening joint Gulf co-operation.
They also extended their best wishes to Bahrain for its continued growth and prosperity.
Parliament Speaker Ahmed Al Musallam, Shura Council Chairman Ali Saleh Al Saleh, Prime Minister’s Court Minister Shaikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, and Crown Prince Court president Salman bin Ahmed bin Salman Al Khalifa attended the meeting.
