The Indian School Bahrain made history yesterday by setting three world records during its National Day celebrations at the Riffa campus.
A total of 3,700 students formed the largest human flag – a striking red-and-white Bahrain flag that symbolised unity and national pride.
Students also achieved two other records – most people saluting the national flag simultaneously and most people chanting a slogan in three languages.
The achievements were officially recognised by the Golden Book of World Records (GBWR) yesterday.
Students from primary and kindergarten sections, supported by teaching and non-teaching staff, participated in the grand human formation of the Bahrain flag, adding brilliance to the school’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations.
The slogans raised included: Aashath-Al Bahrain (Arabic – Long Live Bahrain), We Love Bahrain, and Humara Bahrain Mahaan.
Present on the occasion were school chairman Binu Varghese and members of the senior management.
The programme concluded with the official declaration of the setting of world records by GBWR Asia head Dr Manish Kumar Vishnoei.
