Popular Egyptian artist Hany Shaker has passed away at 74 after a long bout with a colon problem.
Shaker was widely known as "The Prince of Arabic Singing" with a musical career that spanned over 50 years and appearances in several Egyptian films, such as Aysheen Lel Hob (1974) and El Mesbah El Sehry (1977).
He passed away after complications from his colon problem led to recurrent inflammation and repeated haemorrhaging.
