HORSERACING – Cracksking of Al Adiyat Racing cruised to victory to claim the National Day Cup, sponsored by the Information Ministry, at the Rashid Equestrian and Horseracing Club (REHC) in Sakhir yesterday.
The winner, trained by Daniel and Claire Kubler and ridden by Ebrahim Nader, powered past second-placed Tawaareq, of Victorious Forever.
Intricacy, owned by Al Wadi Racing, finished third in the race for imported horses, over a distance of 2,400 metres.
Yesterday’s races were witnessed by General Sports Authority deputy chairman Shaikh Salman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa and Information Minister Dr Ramzan Al Nuaimi.
Redemption Time, owned by Al Afoo Racing, emerged winner in the race for the Bahrain Olympic Committee Cup, going past Maximum Impact, of Zari Al Afoo Racing and Jehangeer, of Al Mohamediya Racing.
Love Is The Law, owned by Fox and Badger Racing, won the Dallah Cup, a 1,400m race for imported horses, while Bond’s Boy, of Al Mohamediya Racing, claimed victory in the race for the General Sports Authority Mile Cup.
The General Sports Authority Maidens Cup was won by Crypto Princess, owned by Mohammed Khalid Abdulrahim, while Capricornus, of Hashim Maitham Hashim Racing, raced to victory to claim the General Sports Authority Bahrain Bred Cup.
Kuheilan Aafas 1970, of Victorious Forever, won the opening race of the day and Baraak, owned by Al Mohamediya Racing, bagged the General Sports Authority Cup by sealing victory in the day’s concluding race.
