SUPREME Council for Youth and Sport first deputy chairman, General Sports Authority chairman and Bahrain Olympic Committee president Shaikh Khalid bin Hamad Al Khalifa attended the World Camelids Sports (WCS) General Assembly meeting.
The meeting was chaired by Prince Fahad bin Jalawi bin Musaed and took place at The Art Hotel and Resort in Amwaj Islands.
Shaikh Khalid expressed pride in hosting the general assembly in Bahrain, with representatives from more than 70 countries taking part.
Shaikh Khalid commended the efforts of Prince Fahad in leading the WCS and advancing the sport while preserving its cultural identity and enhancing its international presence.
Shaikh Khalid noted that camel sport, rooted in Arab heritage, has become a platform for cultural exchange and shared values.
He expressed hope that the meeting would produce decisions that support the WCS’s work and contribute to the development of camel competitions at regional and international levels.
