FOOTBALL – MALKIYA scored in the dying minutes of the first half to ease past Bahrain Club 2-0 in the ninth round of the Nasser Bin Hamad Premier League yesterday.
Sayed Hashim Issa put Malkiya ahead as the match reached the final minutes of the first half and Isa Abdulwahab Al Bari struck a few moments later to put them on a strong footing at half-time. Malkiya managed to keep their opponents at bay in the second half to claim a 2-0 victory.
In another match, A’ali secured a 2-1 win over Al Hidd. Diego Cardoso scored the opener for A’ali in the 13th minute but Ahmed Mohamed pulled one back for Hidd in the 39th minute. Da Silva Robson netted the winner for A’ali in additional time.
