The Local Organising Committee for the AFC Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2027 has completed the readiness of the stadiums set to host the AFC U23 Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2026 matches in the cities of Riyadh and Jeddah as part of the final preparations for the continental tournament, which the Kingdom will host from January 6 to 24, with the participation of 16 Asian national teams.
Readiness preparations covered four main stadiums: Prince Faisal bin Fahd Sports City Stadium and Al-Shabab Club Stadium in Riyadh, as well as Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Sports City Stadium and the Secondary Stadium at King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah. All technical and operational work has been completed in accordance with the requirements and standards approved by the Asian Football Confederation.
The committee emphasised that the completion of stadium readiness reflects the development of the Kingdom’s sports infrastructure and embodies its capability to host continental tournaments in line with the highest professional standards, noting that the AFC U23 Asian Cup represents a key milestone in the preparation pathway for hosting the AFC Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2027.
