His Majesty King Hamad’s representative for humanitarian work and youth affairs Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa has directed the organisation of the second edition of the Al Fursan Sports Tournament during the holy month of Ramadan, following the positive outcomes of the first edition.
He noted that the first edition achieved positive sporting and social impact during Ramadan, which provided an incentive to proceed with organising a second edition and further developing the tournament as an established sporting platform.
Shaikh Nasser highlighted that the tournament contributes to encouraging youth participation, providing a competitive sporting environment, and supporting sports federations in identifying and developing promising talent across various sports.
He also noted that the continuation of the tournament reflects ongoing support for quality sports initiatives and their role in promoting healthy lifestyles and constructive youth engagement within the community.
