Authorities have arrested several individuals, described as Asians, following the circulation of a video on social media showing a brief scuffle in the Northern Governorate.
The footage captures delivery drivers from two different companies engaged in a roadside altercation, while several bystanders attempt to break up the dispute. At one point, one of the men falls to the ground, gets back up and then tries to physically strike another driver.
A few hours after the incident, the Interior Ministry confirmed that all those involved had been taken into custody. Officials added that the necessary legal procedures are being completed ahead of their referral to the Public Prosecution.
According to the ministry, initial investigations indicate that the confrontation stemmed from ‘financial disputes’.
